3. Conduct Research
Execute interviews or experiments, gathering data such as recordings, photos, videos, and subjective ratings.

4. Organize & Analyze Data
Identify themes from interview transcripts, calculate design ratings, and perform statistical analyses like t-tests and correlation analysis on quantitative experimental data.

5. Provide Insights & Recommendations
Present research findings to stakeholders and discuss actionable next steps.
Reflections
When collaborating with many colleagues, it’s crucial to keep everyone aligned. No one should be excluded from critical discussions. Documenting consensus and the reasoning behind decisions is essential so that everyone can refer to them in the future.

It’s also important to stay updated on new tools and technologies. During my internship, our team spent a lot of time on transcripts because the auto-transcription tool we used wasn’t accurate enough. However, as AI has advanced, many highly accurate AI transcription tools have emerged. We saved a significant amount of time after adopting these new tools. By leveraging the right tools, we can work smarter, not harder!
